MINNEAPOLIS — This is a preview of the three-game series between the Guardians and Twins.
Where: Target Field, Friday through Sunday.
TV/radio: Bally Sports Great Lakes, WTAM and WMMS will carry the series.
Pitching matchups: RHP Aaron Civale (1-2, 9.45) vs. RHP Sonny Gray (0-1, 3.48) Friday at 8:10 p.m.; RHP Shane Bieber (1-2, 4.13) vs. undetermined Saturday at 7:10 p.m. and RHP Triston McKenzie (2-2, 2.76) vs. undetermined Sunday at 2:10 p.m.
Series: The Twins went 11-8 against Cleveland last year. The Guardians lead overall, 1,170-1,033.
Team updates: Guardians: Despite Wednesday’s postponement, they have won eight of their last 11. Josh Naylor has hit three homers in his last two games. Franmil Reyes hit seven homers and 13 RBI against Minnesota last year. Twins — They are 3-2 on their homestand after an 11-3 loss to Houston on Wednesday. They went 12-9 in April and are 6-4 in May. Jorge Polanco hit .274 (17-for-62) with two homers and eight RBI against Cleveland last year.

Twins — LHP Danny Coulumbe (left hip), SS Carlos Correa (right middle finger), RHP Chris Paddack (right elbow), OF Kyle Garlick (right calf), 1B Miguel Sano (left knee), RHP Jhon Romero (right biceps tendinitis), RHP Kenta Maeda (right elbow), RHP Jorge Alcala (right elbow), RHP Randy Dobnak (right middle finger), manager Rocco Baldelli (COVID-19) are on the injured list.
